Théo Muller
Deep, dubby house from the Rinse France resident
DJ Steaw's Rutilance Recordings has been a supplier of smooth, bumping house for the last three years and the Frenchman knows exactly how to make a track that'll work a dancefloor.
His sub-label Steaward is an outlet for the darker side of his sound and there have already been five wicked volumes to acquaint yourselves with. Now comes Vol.6 and he's invited Théo Muller to join him on the EP.
We've selected Théo's solo track as today's premiere and 'Dubby Wan Kenobi' has the force running through its veins.
It's a growler of a track, one that pulsates menacingly with heavy kicks and meandering synths. The percussion is focused and rugged and the rolling drops are preceded by a mighty fierce set of claps.
It's hard not to turn to the dark side with this one but we absolutely love it for that reason.
Steaward will release Vol.6 on September 10
