The xx are starting their Night + Day residency next week, which involves a series of live gigs and after-parties taking place in Brixton.

Running for a week, there are seven gig nights at O2 Academy Brixton with a line-up curated by the band, including Sampha, Joy Orbison, Kelela, Cat Power, Floating Points, as well as an all-day party hosted by Jamie xx himself.

The afterparties will take place each night at Corsica Studios, Phonox, Prince of Wales, Pop Brixton, and Block 336 with a huge bill. You can expect to hear the likes of Erol Alkan, Barely Legal, Cadenza, Melé, Bok Bok with Kelela, Oneman, Joy Orbison with Jon Rust and more take to the decks until the early hours.

Night + Day was launched back in 2013 and the London trio have since curated events in unique locations in Lisbon, Berlin and London. The Brixton instalment takes place from March 8 to 15 and is in partnership with their favourite charities such as Brixton Green and Raw Material.

There will also be film screenings of the band’s favourite films and documentaries, a pop-up shop selling limited-edition The xx merchandise, and an artist takeover of Reprezent Radio.
