Mike Skinner’s lyrics are an ode to sesh culture and the return of nightclubs and pubs, opening: “First in the room, thirsting from noon / herbalist fumes, where’s me balloon? / Curse off the zoom”.
The chorus features a dirty bassline as Skinner sings “21st of June” and shouts “Who’s got the bag?!”

Other lyrics include “Tooting on the Boris, smoking on the Rishi” and “The herds of the goons, the blur of perfume / reverse up the tune, birded off too soon”.
Speaking last March, Skinner said "It’s not cool to be 40, in a nightclub, getting off your face", adding that it's "very easy to not do that, and find a routine where it’s carrot juice and turmeric lattes every night rather than straight-up madness." The long stretch have lockdown appears to have got his mind straight back on the sesh.
