The Streets have returned with two new songs
A festive surprise from Mike Skinner and co.
In what could only be described as a Christmas miracle, last night The Streets unexpectedly unveiled two new tracks, titled ‘Burn Bridges’ and ‘Sometimes I Hate My Friends More Than My Enemies’.
The surprise drop follows news of a 2018 reunion tour, with The Streets leading man Mike Skinner explaining at the time, “I’ve missed tour buses very much. Which is the least of the reasons why I have decided to tour The Streets again.”
With an array of studio albums and singles to boot, including their influential, innovational debut album ‘Original Pirate Material’ which celebrated its 15th anniversary this year, The Streets are considered a cult contribution in contemporary British music, and the two new offerings are a timely reminder of why Skinner's distinctive sound still resonates with fans and critics alike.
