The famous DJ-Kicks compilation has introduced its latest installment, curated by none other than the Berghain icon Marcel Dettmann.

The !K7 issue will drop on October 14 and feature 19 tracks hand-picked by the techno don drawn from "25 years of collecting records". Dettmann recalls spending weeks in his home music room listening to tracks with his family, while researching, editing and playing games. When working on DJ-Kicks, the producer listened to a slew of music he hadn't visited in years, creating a mix that "doesn't conquer itself to trends".

Marcel's selection offers seven previously unreleased originals and remixes from him, as well as everything from Clarence G to Cybersonik. Full of unexpected choices and hidden gems, the Ostgut Ton leader explains: "The mix is not the picture that other people take of me, it is the picture I'd take of myself".
