The identity of the woman who jumped from the Mad Decent ship has been confirmed
The search continues and the party has been cancelled
On Thursday evening of the Mad Decent Boat Party, a woman jumped from the balcony of the Norwegian Pearl cruise ship. She has yet to be found. The US Coast Guard has confirmed the identity of the woman as 24-year-old South Carolina resident Kaylyn Rose Sommer.
While initial reports were unclear of how she fell overboard, sources on the boat have said that Kaylyn did indeed jump. Story is still developing. A statement from Mad Decent:
"The search for the guest is ongoing. Both the ship and charter company teams are providing support to the family and all impacted guests during this difficult time."
The cruise has been cancelled and is now en route back to Miami, with some of the artists still set to perform indoors.
