Chicago’s Chosen Few DJs met Barack Obama yesterday
More love for house music on Capitol Hill
Chicago’s Chosen Few DJs have paid a visit to President Barack Obama at the White House.
Originally founded as Chosen Few Disco Corp., Chosen Few DJs - made up of Wayne Williams, Mike Dunn, Jesse Saunders, Tony Hatchett, Alan King, Terry Hunter and Andre Hatchett - were part of the early house music movement, pioneering the sound along with the likes of Frankie Knuckles and Lil’ Louis.
Their visit to the White House follows a shout out from the president himself who praised the DJs on their continued efforts within the community.
