Technasia in The Lab LA

The Lab Los Angeles is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly post-work unwind where we stream only the finest American and international DJs, direct from our Downtown LA office. This Thursday in The Lab we have Paris-raised long-time techno DJ/producer Technasia delivering some world-class tunes, ahead of his appearance on The Groove Cruise LA-edition.

While Technasia was originally comprised of both Charles Siegling and Hong Kong-native Amil Khan in 1996, as of 2010 Charles took the project solo as Amil moved on to pursue other endeavors. Often described as "sophisticated" or "intelligent" techno, Technasia's sound is as world-traveled as he is. And with his own vast knowledge of music, Charles runs Sino records as his way to promote other talented producers.

There are far too many international club highlights to name here, but topping the list for Technasia is Womb in Tokyo, Zouk in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Fabric in London, and Fuse in Brussels just to name a few. 2015 has been a solid year as Charles has released some big ones including a collaboration with Green Velvet. Listen to Technasia here and catch him aboard The Groove Cruise LA following the Lab.

On opening duties we have LA-based DJ Freddy Be.

The Lab LA is strongly powered by Void Acoustics. Watch Technasia in The Lab LA below or via MixmagTV.

The Smirnoff Sound Collective is all about bringing fans closer to the DJs, providing up and coming talent with a solid platform and throwing unique events where fans and artists can party together. Check out more from the Sound Collective here.
