Symbiosis drops full line-up for tenth anniversary festival

One of California’s best loved cult festivals returns with distinctly West Coast rigged vibes

The West Coast September is starting to solidify into one massive binge. Kicking off with Burning Man and ending with One Tribe (ID&T's latest jaunt into the American festival market) the two week breather all of us were looking longingly at has been thwarted by the return of cult favourite Symbiosis. And the line-up is, as expected, stacked with artists that fit that patented West Coast alt-vibe.

With Nicholas Jaar, Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons, Four Tet, Justin Martin, Kaytranada and Bob Moses all set to descend on Stanislaus County's beautiful Woodward Reservation Regional Park, the festival is marking the tenth year since its debut with a top line-up and a bunch of additional life-adjusting vibes.

One of the highlights is the return of Glitchmob members edIT and Ooah who're performing under their monikers Crying Over Pros and Of Porcelain in what'll be their first performances under those outfits since the 2009 festival. They've also got Thugfucker on sunset duties, and Mixmag favourites Mikey Lion, Deep Jesus, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, and Porkchop bringing their 'House, Techno, Love' dogma with their own curated Desert Hearts stage.

With the fast-becoming-ubiquitous inclusion of yoga, speeches, gourmet food, as well as a 2700-acre lake to swim in (careful now…) Symbiosis is another West Coast party that's been pushing the festival beyond some stages in a field, and into something far more 'experience' focused.

It's shaping up to be an incredible September and a rough October folks, but we believe in you. Symbiosis is scheduled for September 17-20 and you can get tickets here.
