Studio 338 issues official statement following devastating fire
The UK venue was destroyed earlier today
In the wake of the catastrophic fire that destroyed Studio 338, the club owners have released an official statement.
The popular hotspot for house and techno went up in flames this morning as 100 firefighters stormed the location in hopes of tackling the blaze. The emergency situation resulted in closed roads and a man airlifted to a nearby hospital.
The release cites the unfortunate occurrence and explains that safety and maintaining positivity is the venue's top priority. As far as questions of future events and Studio 338's potential restoration, the statement reads:
"Things are only finished if you let them be. Our unity and love for music will prevail, I am 100% sure of it. Finally, with regards to upcoming events and tickets, etc., the vast majority of you have understood that today is of course a bit early to even think about that...Once we have had a chance to at least get an idea of the impact this has had, we will get straight onto what can be done for the near future and pre-booked tickets for events, which may now not be able to go ahead at 338."
Mixmag sends positive thoughts to those affected and hopes to see Studio 338 return soon.
