Stray (Machinedrum remix)
Travis Stewart delivers a frosty remix of the Exit Records release
It wasn't that long ago we premiered the appetising 'Branflakes' from Stray's 'Paradise' EP on Exit Records.
The full package was equally tasty, filled with plenty of swinging vigour and the type of sounds the London producer's shown over the years on Exit, Critical, Blu Mar Ten, Warm Communications and Modulations.
Anyway, the 'Paradise' collection is being followed by remixes by label boss dBridge and American producer Machinedrum, the man behind 2013's 'Vapor City' on Ninja Tune.
The latter takes care of 'Movements' and it's an ice cold dream. The "now that you're gone" vocal floats leisurely, with a patter of drum beats, lush piano keys and pulsating pads taking precedent and representing that trademark Machinedrum sound.
The 'Paradise EP Remixes' is out on July 31 via Exit Records. Buy it here
