Stormzy issues public apology for sending homophobic tweets
LGBT+ website PinkNews unearthed a host of offensive insults on his Twitter feed
Stormzy has apologised for making a string of homophobic comments on his Twitter feed between 2011 and 2014.
LGBT+ website PinkNews ran an editorial today calling out the comments, which include calling children and TV characters “fucking fag”, and referring to affection between friends and being mature as “so gay” and “proper gay”.
Stormzy has since apologised on Twitter, writing: “The comments I made were unacceptable and disgusting, full stop. Comments that I regret and to everyone I’ve offended, I am sorry, these are attitudes I’ve left in the past.”
