During his Saturday night set on the Other Stage at Glastonbury, Stormzy paid tribute to those who had lost their lives in the Grenfell Tower fire in London on June 14.

He performed his lyrics from the Grenfell Tower charity single ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, which was released last Wednesday. The single has proved hugely popular, acquiring the biggest first-day sales of any single released this decade, proceeds of which go to those affected by the fire.

The Londoner also delivered an expletive-laden message about the recent events, saying: “I wanted to use this opportunity very carefully, because in light of recent events at Grenfell Tower, we are urging the authorities to tell the fucking truth, first and foremost. We're urging the authorities to fucking do something first and foremost." He went on to add: “We're urging the fucking government to be held accountable for the fuckery, and we ain't gonna stop until we get what we deserve.”

The No.1 selling grime artist then unzipped his jacket to show a Grenfell T-shirt, which is being sold online in order to support those affected.
