Our new Spotify playlist is updated weekly
Back in March we made a playlist promoting definitive deep house from the originators to the young talent establishing themselves today.
It was made in response to the way the genre has been so often wrongly labelled over the years that's it come to represent something that just isn't deep house. The jazziness, soulfulness, uniqueness and musicality of the genre was gone, instead replaced by plastic drums and pan pipes.
Well we're here to claim the genre back, turning our popular playlist into a rolling collection of tracks that will be updated weekly with the best, true, deep house tunes from the back catalogues and the new releases.
This week we've cut some of the fat from the previous playlist and added some favourites from our pre-00s deep house albums feature.
