Spotify hits 100 million monthly users
It’s grown by 11 million in the past 6 months
Spotify has announced that more than 100 million people actively use the music streaming service each month, 30 per cent of which are premium paying customers.
The Swedish company counted 89 million monthly users at the end of 2015, so has gained 11 million in the past six months as it continues to rapidly grow.
According to technology investment bank GP Bullhound, Spotify recently surpassed Skype as the most highly-valued European startup, with its worth set at $8.5 billion.
