Speed Dealer Moms shares latest EP, 'Birth Control Pill'
The chaotic-yet-elegant project will be the duo's third release in their decade-long existence
Speed Dealer Moms - the live electronic project comprised of John Frusciante of Trick Finger and Red Hot Chili Peppers and Aaron Funk of Venetian Snares - have shared their latest EP, 'Birth Control Pill'.
The record is only their third release in the project's decade-long run, although its two tracks embody a finely-tuned chaos.

To open the affair, the EP title track feels the most functional shared by the pair yet. Think precise melodies and synth patterns, clattering, skittish drums as the cut welcomes a drum 'n' bass and jungle-meets-breakcore energy.
Things get weirder in the accompanying music video, which is described in its caption as a visualiser which "doggie paddles in primordial ooze". You can check it out below:
Meanwhile, on the B-side, 'Benakis' embraces the madness and musical rule-defying by working around an unconventional time signature and more intricate melodies. It kicks off with ferocity by way of breakcore and hard techno, before weaving into a lull through a dreamlike beatless finale.
