SoundCloud partners with LANDR and Stagelight

The music maker's original app goes back to its roots

SoundCloud has announced its new partners, LANDR and Stagelight.

The partnership and model restructure puts a deeper emphasis on the producer rather than the consumer.

LANDR, a professional mastering program for artists, will be free for any SoundCloud creator to use and musicians and creatives can master as many tracks as they'd like, even being able to use LANDR's high-res WAV format depending on their Creators plan.

The hook-up with Stagelight, an easy-to-use production app, is hoped to attract more young and inexperienced musicians.

Smart move, SoundCloud.
