SoundCloud has introduced a £5.99 subscription plan
The current premium subscription has been rebranded as SoundCloud Go+
SoundCloud has made some changes to its subscription service, adding a mid-priced plan.
There are now two paid plans, the new one being SoundCloud Go, priced at £5.99 per month, and the existing one which has been rebranded as SoundCloud Go+ at £9.99 per month.
The addition of SoundCloud Go means users can listen to up to 120 million tracks offline and ad-free. 150 million tracks are available via SoundCloud Go+.
Alex Ljung, SoundCloud's CEO, said: “SoundCloud offers the largest, most diverse mix of established and emerging artists, all in one place. Now with three ways to experience SoundCloud: SoundCloud’s free, ad-supported offering, SoundCloud Go and SoundCloud Go+, users have even more freedom to choose the features and content they want, at the price that fits their budget.
"By expanding our offering, we not only enhance the experience for listeners on the platform, but also unlock new revenue opportunities to further expand our creator-payout program.”
