Snapped: Rumors with Guy Gerber and DJ Harvey in LA's Chinatown

From the beaches of Ibiza to historic Chinatown in Los Angeles

Though the concrete grid of Los Angeles's downtown area might not seem like an appropriate setting for what began as a party on the beaches of Ibiza, over the weekend, Guy Gerber proved that Rumors could - and did - thrive and bring the same carefree vibes to even the most unforgiving of cities.

The one-night show took place in LA's historic Chinatown in an outdoor area called Gin Ling Way and became the first ticketed dance music event to be held at the venue.

Paying homage to the cultural background of Chinatown, this edition of Rumors was a colorful explosion of sorts, decorated with parasols, traditional Chinese lions and an enormous disco ball to top it all off. DJ Harvey and Guy Gerber delivered and transported their Los Angeles crowd to a place that seemed much, much farther away.

The whimsical, traveling nature of Rumors seems to have found a surprising, but fitting new home right in the heart of Los Angeles's own Chinatown area. Here's to hoping they'll return sooner, rather than later.
