Snapped: CRSSD Fest Autumn 2016, San Diego, USA
Big beats paired with a bayside backdrop
Although new to the festival scene with just two years under its belt, CRSSD has become one of California's mainstay festivals thanks to consistently top-tier line-ups and breathtaking scenery. Set along the Bayside Waterfront of San Diego, the small, three-stage event has run for bi-annually since 2015.
The second round of 2016's CRSSD Fest brought an intriguing mix of artists, bringing the best of select genres like house, techno, electronica and hip-hop. Major moments came from high-energy sets delivered by Lee Foss, Felix Da Housecat, Maya Jane Coles and Dubfire. Matrixxxman proved a crowd favorite with a menacing performance as he bounced against the bright San Diego sky, catapulting warehouse-shaking tracks throughout the colorful crowd.
Lido and ZHU both took the main stage on the second day of the festival, each showing off an undeniably impressive and intricate live set up. Lido, specifically, arrived with purpose, equipped with drum pads, pianos, a well of MIDIs, live saxophones and his own bellowing, emotional vocals.
Also on the roster, serenading eager fans to a scenic California backdrop, was Justin Martin, Lee Burridge, Leon Vynehall, DJ Harvey, Brodinski and more.
