A four-day celebration of house and techno

Just under two hours away from the proud city of Montreal, a lush, green riverside campground became home to the annual 'Arts, Innovation and Music' AIM Festival.

The four-day festival made a splash with its original lineup announcement which boasted top billings from the house and techno worlds like Nastia, Âme, Nic Fanciulli, Dennis Ferrer and dozens more. In addition, equipped with a Mixmag hosted artist tent, the Canadian festival was also the only in the country authorized to play music for 32 hours straight.

The first day of AIM was highlighted by not one, but two great live shows courtesy of two classic and beloved talents, Henrik Schwartz and Âme. The Henrik Schwarz blend of 'Ene Nyame A Mensuro' had the entire dance floor moving and flowing to the gorgeous, forest backdrop of the festival.

Besides big headliners and moments, the festival found its strength in the small, thoughtful details. The smaller Monoliths stage was actually built out of monoliths, and was created as the venue's celebration of an ongoing and prolific alliance with Native Americans.

Eelke Kleijn artfully mastered a sunset set, soundtracking an unforgettable moment for the festival's expansive roster of incredible talent.
