Skepta raised £30,000 for homeless charity Shelter last night
JME, A$AP Rocky and Shorty joined him
Skepta played a special show in London last night, with all proceeds going to homeless charity Shelter.
The MC raised £30,000 in total through the Islington Assembly Hall gig, where he was joined on stage by brother JME, New York rapper A$AP Rocky and fellow Boy Better Know member Shorty.
After being introduced to the crowd by Idris Elba, Skepta said: "We're all here for a good cause and a good reason, and that's to support Shelter to end homelessness.
"Thank you to everyone for being here. Every penny goes to a good cause. Tonight is about all of us being together. This is about us all giving back. Everyone should give back.”
Tickets were priced at £40, but free tickets were given to some people who have previously been helped by Shelter.
