Skepta and Jammer launch house label Más Tiempo with ‘Mas Murder’ EP
The label heads plan for the imprint to “provide a platform for producers to ‘expand their current portfolio range’”
Skepta and Jammer have minted their new house-focused label Más Tiempo with collaborative EP ‘Mas Murder’.
The two-track record is out now, featuring a Skepta & Jammer collab ‘Mas Murder’, and a collaboration between Jammer & J Kolo x Ossie titled ‘Touch Me’.
Both label heads made their name as grime artists as part of the legendary Boy Better Know crew that was founded in 2005 - including Skepta winning the Mercury Prize in 2016 for his album 'Konnichiwa' - but a Skepta DJ set at legendary Ibiza club DC-10 last summer signalled the rapper, producer and DJ bringing his interest in house and tech-house to the fore.

In an interview with Mixmag last year, Skepta said: “I’ve always collected/Shazammed any tech/minimal tracks I’ve heard on my many travels around the world.
“Más Tiempo is a movement, from Africa to London, to Ibiza. We’re focused on production, DJs and events — and the team is ever expanding to bring a new flavour to house music.
“I’ve always known I’m more than a rapper … Going forward I want to show my attention to detail and relentless hard work ethic in different ways and DJing is one of them.”

Speaking about the release, Jammer said: “‘This generation rules the nation, with version’... that really resonated with us for the Más Tiempo journey. Musical Youth sampled on ‘Mas Murder’ was perfect to showcase the way we feel about giving people our spin on house production with instrumentals while paying homage to the ones that came before us.”

A Más Tiempo launch party is taking over London’s KOKO this Sunday, April 30, with Skepta and Jammer joined on the line-up by Benji B, Salomé Le Chat, Kitty Amor, DJ Maximum, and Ossie b2b J Kolo. Final tickets are on sale here.
Skepta is also DJing Circoloco events in Milan and Ibiza this summer, among other dates.
