New 6,000-capacity "hyperclub" to open in Bangkok

A new 6,000-capacity venue is set to open in Bangkok this year.

FVTURE Bangkok is described as Southeast Asia's "first hyperclub", with state-of-the-art audiovisual production to rival superclubs in Las Vegas, Ibiza and Berlin.

Officially launching in December, FVTURE Bangkok is located within the BRAVO Mall complex in the Thai capital's city centre, and promises to offer immersive visuals with "world class electronic music."

The venue is yet to confirm line-ups for its opening shows, but a press release alludes to a "calendar open to global touring shows, label takeovers and live performances."

FVTURE's main room has been kitted out with the "first-ever" L2 and L2D L-acoustic soundsystem in Asia, consisting of "40 subwoofers and a multi-array of configurations". The dancefloor has been lined with 500sq metres of LED walls to create a "360° visual playground".

Co-founders Michael and Victor Wang say FVTURE is a "statement of intent" for Bangkok, which they claim has "long deserved a venue that stands alongside the global greats".

"From sound to visuals to community, we’ve designed FVTURE from the ground up to really break into new frontiers and give Asia the truly mind-blowing club it’s long deserved," they added in a statement.

"The team we build is key to this - we put big importance on personality when hiring staff and only bring onboard people that are excited about FVTURE. This helps us set exactly the right and define the special character of the whole project.”
