Simon Cowell's DJ show is no more
Yahoo has decided to axe the show that was due to launch in spring next year
Hurrah! Simon Cowell's planned DJ talent show, Ultimate DJ, has been given the elbow.
All that talk of it being the "World Cup of EDM" and attracting the "most edgy and the best artists" has gone down the pan as Yahoo has decided not to go ahead with it, according to Variety, even though Cowell officially introduced it back in April.
We're not complaining, though, and neither will Fatboy Slim, who apparently told the producers of the show to "fuck off" when asked to be a judge on the internet show. Maybe the final nail in the coffin was when DJ Fresh and Tiësto, who's had his own DJ show, said it wouldn't work.
Syco Entertainment has declined to comment but as long it's definitely not happening, we're not too bothered.
It wasn't the best of weekends for Cowell with the X Factor TV viewers dropping and being on the end of an accidental head butt by one of his own acts.
Unlucky, pal. Better luck next time, eh.
