Serato to integrate streaming capabilities with Pulselocker
Users will have access to a library of 44 million tracks
Serato DJ has announced a partnership with streaming service Pulselocker, enabling users to access a catalogue of 44 million tracks from around 500,000 labels within the DJing software.
At ADE, Serato DJ CEO, AJ Bertenshaw, announced: "At Serato, we always try to carefully choose each feature to be aimed at the professional DJ. When it came to connecting to a subscription music service, we wanted to make sure our offering was the very best available."
Pulselocker subscriber's libraries will be accessible from any computer with Serato DJ installed and tracks can be streamed or hosted locally for offline use.
Although DJs are allowed to play the tracks out in public, Serato's in-built recording feature will be disabled when using Pulselocker for licensing reasons.
The integration will be rolled out with Serato DJ 1.9, which will include a two-week free trial of the service. Watch the introductory video below.
