Selects: Steve Angello

Selects is our weekly series on Apple Music where we ask the world's biggest artists to curate a playlist for your listening pleasure. Some have chosen influences, some have chosen what they're feeling at the moment and some have delved deep into their record bag for some undercover gems.

Mr G, Danny Daze, Tensnake, Scuba and Benjamin Damage have all impressed and now it's the turn of Size Records boss and stadium-conquering DJ Steve Angello.

Angello is undoubtedly one of the biggest artists in the world. As part of Swedish House Mafia, he travelled the globe and played to millions but since the group disbanded and Axwell & Ingrosso went their separate ways, he's stepped things up a notch.

He's been concentrating on building up Size Records and last year there were EPs from Chocolate Puma, Dimitri Vangelis, Shaun Frank and Chris Avantgarde. The sound may be geared towards the big room but it's got an element of class and substance that a lot of higher-profile labels don't push.

Angello will release his new album 'Wild Youth' via his label imminently and his Selects playlists looks at some of the tracks that have inspired Steve from his early days, to now.

Daft Punk 'Alive'

This is one of the best albums of all time. It got me into making music and DJ-ing so it deserves all the credit!

Chemical Brothers 'Star Guitar'

This is one of my favourite Chemical Brothers cuts, and the video is incredible too.

Moby 'Go'

There's not really much to say other than the fact that it inspired a whole new sub genre.

Aphex Twin 'Windowlicker'

This is an incredible piece of work! Before his time, and the video is incredible.

Etienne de Crecy 'Overnet'

I really love this record, it's been a real favourite since the album dropped!

The Prodigy 'Smack My Bitch Up'

A piece of culture!

The Knife 'Silent Shout'

This duo was the pride of Sweden!

Sébastien Tellier 'L'Amour Et La Violence'

Sébastien is such an inspiring artist!

Fink 'Warm Shadow'

There are not that many days that go by without my dose of Fink!

M83 'In Church'

This is from the first album I heard from the band, it's amazing work and it sounds even better on vinyl!

Tame Impala 'Eventually'

A track from the best album of 2015!
