Selects: Shiba San

Each week, Mixmag invites the world's most revered artists to bring us an Apple Music playlist, hand-selected by them and curated especially for your listening pleasure. From Kevin Saunderson to Disclosure, the Selects series has seen a spectrum of tunes come through from major crate dig gems to the freshest tunes that are moving your favorite talents today.

Without a doubt, you know Shiba San - whether you know it or not. Few sets went without dabbling in his standout track 'Okay' following its release in 2014. Two years later, 2016 sees Shiba San continuing his upward movement as a talent to know on the hip hop-inspired tip of electronic music.

With recent releases on Dirtybird (and forthcoming appearances at Dirtybird BBQ), it's no surprise that Shiba San's summer schedule is also a packed one, with stops that range from Electric Daisy Carnival this upcoming weekend in Las Vegas to Amnesia in Ibiza.

Shiba San is also one of a handful of unmissable talents slated to play Mamby on the Beach in Chicago, which takes place on July 2 and 3. Find Shiba San on Saturday in the Mixmag DJ tent alongside Tale Of Us, Hannah Wants, Sonny Fodera and more.

Justin Martin & Will Clarke - Back to the Jungle

My two guys! This is one of my favorite tracks of the moment. It kills it on the dance floor.

Solardo - 50K Watts

These guys are killing the game at the moment. Not to mention - this is a powerful track off Rousch Label!

Nathan Barato - Wobble Back

Easy. The bass line. Mind killer.

DJ T & Emanuel Satie - Break Loose (Kill Frenzy Remix)

I love this one. It's like an acid track... my first love!

Ardalan - Look It

The hook - no good. No good in a great way. And not to mention, the beat is fire.

Green Velvet - Bigger Than Prince (The Martinez Brothers Remix)

A classic track on its own, and add a dose of The Martinez Bros. Wooh! Two huge names, one big track.

Catch The Martinez Brothers at Mamby on the Beach alongside Shiba San.

Claude Vonstroke - Who's Afraid of Detroit (10 Year Anniversary Mix)

Excellent remake of this already near-perfect classic and definitely a proper 10 year anniversary celebration.

Will Clarke - Kulture

Had to bring Will Clarke on again for this one. The track just never gets old - I can't stop playing it!

Riva Starr - Dippin' Side

It's all about the vocal sample here. Talk about incredible.

City Kid Soul - Moody Booty

I love the groove and the bass of this one. Classic.
