Sara Landry has announced her debut album ‘Spiritual Driveby’, set to arrive on October 4 via HEKATE Records.

The artist has already released three cuts from the 12-track LP, including ‘Pressure’ featuring Lativan-born LEGZDINA, an unusual fusion of hard-hitting techno with hip hop, ‘Prisoner’ in collaboration with Alex Farell, a track that hints at the forthcoming album’s spiritual theme, and ‘Heaven’ with Alt8, a pop-tinged 154 BPM delight.

Having built a significant following over the past few years, Landry’s debut album is eagerly awaited, and its unveiling reveals a stream of exciting collaborations with the likes of Mike Dean, Nico Moreno, Shlømo, and, unusually, her personal hypnotist, whose voice can be heard on the record’s prelude.

The co-operative nature of the album comes from its creator’s belief in the power of energy. For Landry, everyone is energetically interlinked: “Everything we do is interwoven and collaborative, whether we realise it or not. Every musical experience we’ve ever had, every show we’ve been to, every euphoric moment that echoes across time has been a collaborative experience and a stacking of energies. The experiences themselves only manifest just so because of the energetic contributions of every single individual that is present,” she says.

The album itself is an exchange and interplay of energies between the musicians that worked on it, but also the listener, as Landry asks that her fans don’t just consume the album passively, but participate in it, bringing their own energies, and releasing them into the chaos of everyone else’s – hence the album’s emphasis on catharsis and communion.

Landry has helped bring hard techno to a wider audience with blend of aggressive, fast-paced sounds with intoxicating, feminine vocals casting a spell over devoted fans worldwide. The upcoming album promises to continue the artist’s exploration of transcendent sounds within the context of electronic music.

It arrives via Landry's own HEKATE Records, named after the Greek goddess of witchcraft and founded "in homage to the power of the divine feminine."
