Saffron Records team up with Noods Radio to launch a beginners course in radio production and broadcasting

Independent record label Saffron is teaming up with Noods Radio to deliver an eight-week course in radio production and broadcasting for beginners.

The course will start on June 7. Over the course of eight weekly two-hour sessions, eight women and non-binary people will build up the skills and confidence to develop their own radio show.

The lucky eight mentees will be taught and mentored by Noods residents Manami and Tilly.

The final product is an eight-hour takeover day on Noods Radio on August 1 where the students will have the chance to air their own one-hour live radio show.

The deadline for applications is May 21. The full course costs £145 for the eight weeks, but discounted and free places are also available, with further options to pay in instalments.

The course is open to women and non-binary people aged eighteen and over living in Bristol who don’t already have their own regular radio show. No DJing or radio experience is necessary.
