September 9 marks 909 Day in celebration of all things pertaining to the TR-909. Following rumors of Roland updating the drum machine for modern times, today we have confirmation in the form of images of the new TB-03 and TR-09, pictured above.

Developed by the Roland Corporation in 1984, the TR-909 is an influential drum machine that many pioneering producers used to establish the foundation of electronic music. Now, 33 years since it’s inception, it’s still being used in the studio and is prominently featured in music produced by Aphex Twin, Jeff Mills, Boys Noize and many more.

Mixmag recently compiled some of the most iconic tracks produced using the TR-909, which you can listen to here.

Today Roland has a full schedule of programming planned to unveil 30 new products that will further cement its place as an industry leader in the realm of audio electronics.

So far they have shared details and a tutorial for its brand new DJ-808, a DJ controller developed in collaboration with Serato.

Watch the live stream below to see what else Roland delivers and look for the official introduction to the TB-03 and TR-09 coming soon.
