Star of the upcoming movie The Batman Robert Pattinson has divulged that he killed time while having to wear his batsuit on-set by making "ambient electronic music."

In an interview with GQ Magazine, the British actor shared that due to the taxing work of getting in and out of his batsuit it was easier to keep it on between takes.

"I'd be in the tent just making ambient electronic music in the suit, looking over the cowl," he shared. "There' something about the construction of the cowl that makes it very difficult to read books, so you have to kind of almost lean forward to see out of [it]."

"You're not allowed out of the studio with the suit on," he explains. "So I barely knew what was going on at all outside."

NTS Radio was the first to respond to Pattinson's revelation tweeting: "Batman come on NTS you coward."

While writer Tristan Cross responded: "twiddling about with the little plastic knobs on his akai while in full bat suit is a potent image"

This isn't the first electronic music connection for the new Batman movie.

When the initial trailer dropped for the Matt Reeves-directed flick late last year - eagle-eyed fans spotted one of the locations used for filming as Surrey Quays very own Printworks nightclub.

Southwark News had originally reported sightings of a "bat signal," before photos of the team recording the next film in London emerged via the Evening Standard early last year.

The Batman is due for release next month, hitting cinemas on March 4.
