Redlight releases the 'City Jams' EP via Hot Haus Recs/UTTU
The Bristolian DJ draws for jacking Chicago house
Redlight has released a new three-track EP entitled ‘City Jams’.
The lead track, which gives the EP its name, features swelling chords and a jacking house beat, and has been released via DJ Haus' Hot Haus Recs.
‘City Jams’ is the sound of Redlight shifting his focus away from bass music and towards deep house. But this time his sound is influenced by the hard, sharp sounds of Chicago’s Dance Mania.
No surprise then that the track features a vocal remix from DJ Deeon. 'Anonymous', the third and final track off the EP, sounds like Paul Woolford’s seminal 'Erotic Discourse' distorted to within an inch of recognisability.
