Pusha T has released a new track in partnership with US-based fast-food chain Arby’s with lyrics alluding to his distaste for McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish.
The diss track aimed at the worldwide fast-food company titled ‘Spicy Fish Diss Track’ comes six years after his McDonald’s-favourable track ‘I’m Lovin’ It’.
“Filet-O-Fish is shit/And you should be disgusted,” Pusha T raps in the new track. “A little cube of fish from a clown is basic.”

McDonald’s history of getting musicians involved in their marketing campaigns goes all the way back to the early noughties when they brought in a slew of famous artists including Pharrel Williams, Justin Timberlake and a young Pusha to help coin the slogan ‘I’m Lovin’ It’, along with McDonald’s renowned ‘ba da ba ba ba’ hook.
The jingle was brought back to life in 2016 by Pusha T who dropped ‘I’m Lovin’ It’, which he now claims brought more fame to the fast-food chain. “I am solely responsible for the ‘I’m Lovin’ It’ swag and the jingle of that company,” he said in an interview with Rolling Stone.
“I did it at a very young age at a very young time in my career where I wasn’t asking for as much money and ownership. It’s something that’s always dug at me later in life like, ‘Damnit, I was a part of this and I should have more stake’,” he told the magazine.

“It was like half a million or a million dollars for me and my brother [No Malice of Clipse] - but that’s peanuts for as long as that’s been running. I had to get that energy off me, and this [ad] was the perfect way to get that energy like, ‘You know what? I’m over it’.”
‘Spicy Fish Diss Track’ now pokes fun at the fast-food company, with opening lyrics reciting: “I’m the reason/The whole world love it/Now I gotta crush it.”
