Premiere: Radio Slave is out for ‘Revenge’ with infectious breaks
An ode to his days growing up in London
Prolific UK producer Radio Slave takes to his own Rekids imprint to release the double A-side ‘Overdue’ EP, featuring the nostalgic breaks track ‘Revenge.
He touched on the inspiration behind his new material as a homage to rave culture of the past: “‘The Revenge’ is my homage to clubs like “Rage" and my days growing up in London. 'The Reverse’ came from some late night studio sessions in February and I’ve had a lot of fun playing this out. All I can say is it’s very me - stripped back and made for the dance floor”.
Using field recordings and spoken word, Radio Slave introduces ‘Revenge’ with an urban aesthetic that leads into an array of infectious and gritty breaks. Sharp textures and stabs give it that classic rave track feel, bringing the essence of the culture into the future.
The ‘Overdue’ EP is out now.
