Hair-raising techno from the Detroit native
Magda's certainly set on carving out a distinctive path for her musical career. While taking that minimal techno vibe that's so widely appreciated, she's intent on giving her own flavour to the genre by including a wide array of out-there and unusual sounds.
Leaving Richie Hawtin's Minus, she's moved on to her own Items & Things label alongside Marc Houle and Troy Pierce, pursuing sonic exploration to bewilder, excite and generally amaze her listeners.
Latest release, 'Trailerfork', will be released as a 12" on the 'Balance 27' EP and defines the tremendous techno sound the Detroit artist strives to create, with a bumping bassline and an array of seriously weird sounds. Give it a whirl.
