Premiere: Lenzman's 'Tender Love' is a soul-infused, cosmic beauty
Drum 'n' bass with feelings
Lenzman launched his label The North Quarter as a platform for "all things soulful" and since launching it last August he's failed to disappoint.
The first audio we heard was his remix of 'Still Standing' by Children Of Zeus with drum 'n' bass MC DRS on vocals. It's a touching, heartfelt track with that typical Lenzman sheen. Then came the gentle, twinkling piano keys of 'Grateful', again with DRS on the mic.
He's continuing his solo run on the label with the 'Earth Tones' EP, inviting DJ Rockid, US producer Submorphics, Manchester artist IAMDDB and Calibre collaborator Steo into the 10-tracker.
Steo chips in with some glossy vocals on 'Tender Love', a glistening track with cosmic synths that perfectly represents the soul-infused vibe Lenzman bases his label on. Dive into the emotional cut below.
The 'Earth Tones' EP is released on February 17
