Premiere: Jack Roland dials in swampy, acidic breakbeat on ‘1-800 MY BRIDE’
UN.T.O. Records goes international
Jack Roland is the newcomer that UN.T.O. Records has ended its Italian-artists-only policy for, taking charge of the Milan-based imprint’s sixth outing with an EP titled ‘Dream Technology’
The Amsterdam-based producer previously featured on a Lyase Recordings compilation EP in 2016, alongside DJ Sodeyama, Mintz and Anthony Fade, turning in the atmospheric techno cut ‘Can You Feel Me?’, and is now set to mark his first full outing with a four-tracker, which will be followed by a full-length album later this year.
UN.T.O.'s past two records have come from Antonio and Minimal Afrika, and on his debut Jack Roland carries on the theme of raw, swampy production
Opening track ‘1-800 MY BRIDE’ is a corrosive breakbeat stomper at its core with slamming drums and twisting acid. Out of this emerges eerie synths and sampled vocal yells, added an anxious edge to the mix. Listen below.
'Dream Technology' is out through UN.T.O. Records on March 10, pre-order it via Bandcamp
