Premiere: Ike Release & John Barera's heady house cut ‘Cosmic Divide’
Tripped out, bouncing synths forthcoming on Episodes
Ike Release and John Barera join forces to collaborate on their four-track ‘Winding Up’ EP, featuring the heady, tripped out house bomb ‘Cosmic Divide’.
Both artists have been buzzing in the underground community for some time now, Ike with releases on Mister Saturday Night, Finale Sessions, Skudge and MOS, John with releases on Argot, Just Jack and Zakim. Now they turn to Ike’s Episodes imprint to supply more of their upfront and dancefloor-ready cuts.
‘Cosmic Divide’ is an appropriate title for the new house anthem, with bouncing synth arrangements, a driving rhythm and unexpected variations to keep the listener soaring through blissful melodies. The ‘Winding Up’ EP as a whole plays with this distinctly cosmic motif, revealing a quality 12” with four infectious grooves.
