Premiere: FYI Chris drop raw and gritty house on 'Lonestar'

Peckham duo FYI Chris return to Rhythm Section International for the second time with their ‘Snafubar’ EP, including the raw and dusty house track ‘Lonestar’.

Although the track can be said to possess a house structure, it’s clearly not easy to categorize, as the producers use an unconventional approach to delivering dancefloor focused material. With an overall gritty motif, FYI Chris present a stripped back cut highlighted by rough, warm and organic textures.

On the inspiration behind ‘Lonestar’, FYI Chris give a nod to a legendary hip-hop duo: "We’re big fans of a certain duo from DITC and this track is a little shout out to those guys".

Perhaps Rodney and Andre would be down to lay a verse on this one, but that’s a different story.

The ‘Snafubar’ EP is set for release on April 14. Purchase here
