Premiere: Andhim spin a soulful RÜFÜS DU SOL hit with a dark twist
Heavy on a Rüfüs classic rework
The genius of Australian trio Rüfüs du Sol's 2016 release 'Bloom' is not new, yet still, over a year after its initial unveiling, still transcends the lightning quick pace of electronic music cycles and remains a reintroduced classic.
"'Innerbloom' is probably the most personal song we’ve ever written in terms of where we are at as people," Tyrone Lindqvist of Rüfüs shared.
But this time, German duo Andhim have taken the reigns on 'Innerbloom', the chilling, melodic single released off the group's full-length. At the hands of Andhim, the band's signature uplifting tones have been overshadowed by a billowing blare that paints the remix with a haunting feel, accompanied by a new pounding bass line.
Ready for a play at a dark, midnight hour, Andhim twist the Rüfüs classic into a heavier house hitter, still allowing vocalist Tyrone Lindqvist's toplines to shine through at the height of its builds.
Rüfüs du Sol are currently out on tour through the rest of the year. Find dates here.
The Andhim remix is out on October 21 on Sweat It Out, but until then, the early spin is with Mixmag below.
