Police are calling on the public to report illegal raves over Easter weekend

A targeted operation has been set up

Police in Lincolnshire have made an appeal to the public to report signs of illegal raves this Easter weekend.

A targeted task force has been set up under the name Operation Mastif, with landowners and farmers asked to be especially vigiliant.

"Although we are not aware of any planned illegal raves this weekend, this operation has come about as historically, raves have taken place over the coming bank holiday,” said a Lincolnshire police spokesman.

In May 2015 a chaotic bank holiday rave in Lincolnshire with a reported 1000 people in attendance ended with 43 arrests and injuries to 21 police officers. Footage can be viewed below.
