Pioneer DJ introduces new multitrack sequencer, SQUID

SQUID is the new multitrack sequencer from Pioneer DJ.

Part of the TORAIZ series, SQUID allows you to rearrange your phrases in real time, while letting you create whole new rhythms with a simple spring-loaded slider. According to Pioneer DJ, this is the first Groove Bend feature to be built into a production tool.

The Time Warp feature allows you to fully capitalise on your “happy accidents”. In line with keeping music production fluid, you can play around as you like with the freedom to capture and save anything that you like the sound of.

Crucially, alongside the digital USB-B and Midi terminals you can utilise and play with modular synthesizing with the two sets of CV/GATE outputs and CLOCK input/output terminals. DIN SYNC input/output terminals allow you to breathe life back into your vintage synthesizers and drum machines as everything syncs with the SQUID.

A range of signals are converted inside the SQUID allowing you to grow your creative possibilities by adding the new tech to your setup.

It is compatible with both PC and Mac, with SQUID Manager designed to make importing or exporting sequence patterns as easy as possible. Simply import it on the sequencer, arrange it how you like, and then return it to your DAW.

The TORAIZ SQUID is available now for £519 including VAT.
