PillowTalk in The Lab NYC

The Lab NYC is Mixmag and WAV's weekly live stream and afterwork unwind, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs live from our Brooklyn office. This Friday, March 2, we welcome PillowTalk's Mikey Tello for a timeless dancefloor thumping set.

Consisting of Samuel Doylestien, Ryan Williams, Michael Tello and Shane Duryea, PillowTalk emerged out of the San Francisco rave scene by fusing their shared love of soul, funk, doo-wop and electronic music. Since then the four-piece outfit has risen to prominence with soulful and emotive releases landing on esteemed labels like Visionquest, Crew Love, Kompakt, Life and Death and Wolf + Lamb Music. Now on the eve of their next album, titled 'All People', PillowTalk is ready to unveil more of their unique sound profile.

On opening duties for PillowTalk is local producer, DJ and tastemaker John Barera, who has been featured on Mixmag in the past and is set to get us properly warmed up for the dance.

Subscribe to Mixmag TV and follow Mixmag on Facebook to watch PillowTalk in The Lab NYC on Friday 9PM EST. Watch the stream below.
