Shaun Bloodworth (pictured), a photographer who worked with Rinse, FWD>>, Bleep, Tempa and Mixmag, among others, has passed away.

He was in hospital awaiting a liver transplant, but contracted infections which caused his passing. A fundraiser event due to take place tonight (September 15) is still going ahead with the blessing of his family.

Raj Chaudhuri, a key member of the fundraising campaign, issued a statement saying: "It is with an extremely sad heart that we have to announce that Shaun Bloodworth passed away today at 1:30 PM due to infections and frailty whilst awaiting his liver transplant. We have been notified by the family that they want to party to continue, as it is what Shaun would have wanted.

"Tonight will be a celebration of his life and work - and he was truly so appreciative to see the support of so many artists and people coming together to help him in his last days. His work and documentation of the music scene that we inhabit has a huge legacy and tonight we will pay tribute to that."

The party takes place at XOYO, with Benga, Plastician, Rustie and Artwork among the line-up. Doors open at 8pm and tickets will be available on the door. Donations can also still be made here.
