Pete Tong announces fourth edition of 'Ibiza Classics'

Pete Tong has announced his fourth EP under his Classics format, 'Pete Tong + Friends: Ibiza Classics’.

To celebrate, he shared the first track from the release, an electronic rendition of Hans Zimmer's 'Time' in collaboration with Tale of Us featuring Jules Buckley.

He shared the news on Twitter that he has “7 more Ibiza Classics collaborations coming very soon…”

The club-ready remix of ‘Time’ comes from Berlin-based, Italian raised electronic duo, Tale Of Us. The pair reimagine Hans Zimmer’s Inception soundtracked masterpiece into an electronic rendition using their dancefloor expertise.

This single is partnered with a stunning Balearic visualiser which contains imagery from some marvellous scenery in Ibiza, including Es Vedra and Dalt Villa.

Speaking on the remix, Tale Of Us say; "These harmonies transcend time and space, we are excited and grateful to cover such a masterpiece.”

The 8-track EP features collaborations with Eats Everything, Kölsch, Elderbrook and more.

Speaking on the new project, Pete Tong says; “Excited to kick off my + Friends series by teaming up with Tale Of Us. The guys had been experimenting with the original in their DJ sets which inspired us to collaborate on our own original version of this epic melancholic masterpiece.”

The coinciding events series ‘Ibiza Classics Live’ will tour across the UK with shows in London, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Bournemouth, and Brighton.

The events will feature Pete Tong, Jules Buckley and The Heritage Orchestra joined by an array of guest DJs and musicians, Ultra Naté and Becky Hill.

The event has been called the “most iconic classical electronic music event” by organisers and promises to “be a party like no other”.
