Paul Kalkbrenner has just released the third and final installment of his 'Back To The Future' mixtape trilogy.

The compilation is much more than the standard mixtape series. 'Back To The Future' is a collection of over 60 tracks citing the historical rise of techno in Berlin between the years of 1987 and 1993.

Kalkbrenner, whose primary developing influence was East Berlin's radio station DB 64, sifted through over 5000 productions to create the masterful compilations.

Each mixtape also includes a full, in-depth track list that cites the artist, title, label, year and country of origin. The sourcing provides an intriguing timeline of foreign countries entering and influencing the Berlin techno scene. Standout names coming across borders in the early 90s include Todd Terry, Voodoo Child and of course, Aphex Twin.
