Over 12 tons of seized cocaine offloaded in Miami
An estimated street value of $378 million
Today, the US coast guard has offloaded 12.4 tons of seized cocaine at Port Everglades in Miami, Florida.
With an estimated street value of $378 million, the contraband was seized through 10 different missions between mid-October and late-November that were conducted in international waters off the coast of Central and South America.
According to WSVN news, the majority of the cocaine will be destroyed while a small amount will be kept as evidence. In other words, these drugs will not be making their way to Art Basel this weekend.
