OutKast have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of its Class Of 2025, alongside the likes of The White Stripes, Cyndi Lauper, and more.
The latest inductees were announced on Sunday, April 27, during an episode of American Idol. The official ceremony which will take place later this year in Los Angeles.
The hip hop duo are nominated for the performer category alongside other first-time nominees Chubby Checker, Bad Company, and Joe Cocker, as well as previously-nominated inductees Cyndi Lauper, The White Stripes, and Soundgarden.

Elsewhere, Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon will both receive the Musical Influence Award, while Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins, and Carol Kaye will each receive the Musical Excellence Award.
Speaking on the Class of 2025, the Hall of Fame’s John Sykes said: "Each of these inductees created their own sound and attitude that had a profound impact on culture and helped to change the course of rock & roll forever.”
"Their music gave a voice to generations and influenced countless artists that followed in their footsteps,” he added.

Artists inducted can be included 25 years after the release of their first commercial recording, the BBC reports, with over 1,200 music historians, previous inductees, and industry workers deciding on those nominated.
Musicians who failed to qualify from the shortlist this year include Oasis, Billy Idol, Joy Division/New Order, and Mariah Carey, amongst others.
The official induction ceremony will take place on November 8 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. Check out the full list of inductees here.
