Objekt to launch new record label, Kapsela, with two consecutive EPs

Berlin-based DJ and producer Objekt is gearing up to launch his own record label, Kapsela, this autumn with the release of two consecutive EPs.

The inaugural release on the imprint, coming October 4, is Objekt’s newest EP containing a reissue of his seminal 2014 track 'Ganzfeld', along with remixes by DjRUM, Piezo and Ulla.

The first remix from DjRUM is out now - an echoey, ambient masterpiece that runs through multiple genres, switching seamlessly from light to dark. Check it out here.

The label’s inauguration comes as a natural progression from Objekt’s ongoing white label series, which has been running since the artist, real name TJ Hertz, began his music career in 2011.

While releasing 12” white label records worked as a means to exhibit Hertz’s intricate, club-focused cuts, Kapsela will provide a more versatile and less restrictive platform for the artist to release music on, and allow space for other musicians to explore their wildest, creative potential. Objekt is also working alongside designer Brodie Kaman to develop a visual identity for the label.

Marking 10 years since it was originally released, 'Ganzfeld' will be re-issued as the introductory release on Objekt's new imprint. The original track, which shot Objekt into the limelight in 2014, made waves with its ambitious BPM range and IDM stylings.

As the artist reflects on his career since 'Ganzfeld's release, he looks forward to a new chapter. The forthcoming remix pack, curated by Objekt, establishes the collaborative spirit that will characterise Kapsela.

‘Ganzfeld’ will be closely followed by a second EP on the newly launched label, ‘Chicken Garaage’. Both the release date and tracklist are yet to be announced.
